Stacie had to say...

I'm a fairly outgoing (if slightly lazy) book lover. I'm happily married for 10+ years and Mom to one beautiful little girl.

We are a strictly non-smoking household as well as a no pet household due to my allergies. I sometimes post books that have been in my sister's house (they have cats and her husband smokes) but generally my DH or DD will sniff them for me to affirm that they aren't stinky.

For any WL swap that I join:

I will happily accept almost any binding of any book on my list. I don't want large print or audio books.

For buddy swaps that I join:

There are several scented candles flavors that are very popular in my house. The flowery ones are usually too much for us to take, but you can't go wrong with cucumber mint or various rain scents. I also love the smell of fresh cut grass.

We just got our first wallflower, but haven't found a scent that we agree on yet. With the sensitive noses that dominate this house, I'm thinking something mellow is needed for that one.

We also have scented oil burners. The best scent we've found for those so far is apple cinnamon, but that's another thing we're more than happy with anything other than flowery scents.

I use a Lady Schick Quatro and can always use refill blades. I really like the Skintimate Shave Gels (any scent) to go with those blades.

I can't use regular bubble bath, but I love bath salts and shower gels (and poofs to go with them). I prefer light scents like lavender and vanilla.

I have a really sensitive scalp thanks to psoriasis, so shampoos and conditioners are not needed.

I absolutely adore cute socks (size 10) and slippers. We have very cold hardwood floors so I wear them almost consantly and they tend to wear out before I know it!

I am also a big fan of lounging around in my jammies in the wee hours so more sets of those are always appreciated. I wear large (16/18) and prefer 2-piece sets but I'm not picky on what material they're made out of. Now that it's getting warm outside, I could especially use a summery set of PJs.

I have a shelf full of little stuffed animals that need friends added periodically. I especially like wolves, foxes and monkeys.

I tend to lean towards faeries and dragons as far as artwork and calendars go.

Our kitchen is pretty sparse as far as decorations go but there are a few things we would still like: a granite mortar and pestle set, an "Adjust-A-Cup", a candy/deep fry thermometer with a clip for attaching it to the pan, a BBQ Cast Iron smoker box, and a set of Rachel Ray spoonulas. We could also use a new tea pot.

I would also love a variety of hot chocolate flavors or tea (either bags or loose). Hot apple cider and hot lemonade would not be appreciated as well.

See the bottom of my profile for a bullet list of my wants, likes, and dislikes.

For any swap for our kids:

My daughter (Carolyn) is 9 and is a very girly girl. She loves lip glosses and nail polish (especially of the sparkly variety). She's decided to get her hair cut for the summer so hair accessories won't be needed for a while. Headbands (with grippies) are still useful!

Her favorite colors are pink, purple and gold (and silver!) and she is very much into butterflies and flowers on her clothing. She's tiny for her age... still wearing size 7 in jeans and 7/8 in shirts. Please try to avoid clothing with glitter that comes off easily.

She is an aspiring artist so sketch pads and markers are great. She also really likes gel pens and wants some colored pencils of her own.

She already has several sets of sidewalk chalk, but has recently seen some that have polka dots and stripes on them and would love to experiment with different designs.

I try not to let her eat too much candy, so please try to limit yourself to two or three small pieces if you send any at all (I'll be perfectly happy with no candy!)

She is trying to follow in my footsteps as far as cute socks go, so any girly socks would be adored. She wears a size 2 shoe currently.

She is allergic to "cheap" metal so please stay away from jewelry just to play it safe.

She likes puzzles (no more than 500 pieces) and card games (such as Uno) more than board games. She also loves anything that can be played on the front porch or back sidewalk. We don't have a pool of any sort, so she could use a new sprinkler head to add to our collection.

MISC (may include duplicates from above):

Birthday(s): March 24 (me), September 4 (DD - Carolyn), July 7 (DH - Steven)

Anniversary: June 7, 1997

Candles/Incense:  Yes, please. :) (no strong floral scents) We have both cone and stick incense burners along with scented oil burners and tons of candle holders (for tea-lights, votives and stick candles). We also have a wallflower now, so we could use lightly scented refills.

Bath & Body stuff: No bubble bath or shampoos. Shower gels, bath salts and body sprays are perfect! nothing overly fruity or flowery... I love lavender, vanilla and lilac-type scents. Hand/body lotions are also appreciated.

Candy: my favorite candy is plain old reese's cups or necco wafers... we also like dark and white chocolate... no raspberry flavored stuff.

Snacks: I'm not a big chip and dip person unless it's plain old Ruffles and French Onion Dip. I love gardetto-type bags, with my favorite being a brand called Munchies (original or cheesey).

Jewelry:  I love necklaces (between 18" and 22" chains) and rings (sizes 6-8). Cheap metal is not my friend, but plated (gold or silver) is alright. I have mostly gold currently, but I would love a few silvery item. I love hematite and amythist. I have no piercings.

Watches: I am interested in having a variety of watches. I need one that has a band under the actual watch part because my body chemistry somehow breaks the "normal" kind. This is an example of what I mean. I don't like metal or elastic bands.

Music: I love getting mix-CDs that were made especially for me! I have ecclectic tastes...my radio station of choice alternates between country, 70s/80s and dance music but I also flip to the oldies and soft rock stations from time to time. My CD collection runs the gamut from Frank Sinatra to Broadway Musicals with samplings from all decades mixed in. I don't like rap or heavy metal.

Coffees/teas: I don't drink coffee (DH does though). Tea (loose or bags) and Hot Chocolate are big hits around here though... any flavor is good!

Makeup: I don't wear make-up but I love lip balms (tubes, please... not those little jars).

Gift cards: Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, Applebees, Wehrenberg Theatre

Colors: dark blues and dark greens top the list... purples and silver/gold are also nice

To wear: I live in jeans and t-shirts (or hoodies). I like 'em big so XL is your best bet... L will do in a pinch. I especially want an MC Escher t-shirt or two as the one that I have is old and falling apart. I also love cute socks and long flowing skirts (nothing too flashy).

Dislikes:  um... I'll get back to you on this one!

Credits: I can always use more PBS or SwapaDVD credits.
